PRESENTATION EVENING Class of 2021- Thursday 19th May 2022 7.30pm for 7.45pm

This is to remind you that Presentation Evening for the Class of 2021 will take place on Thursday 19th May 7.30pm for 7.45pm.

The presentation starts at 7.45pm, but we ask students to gather in the Drama Studio by 7.30pm, where they will be met by their ex-tutors and briefed about the arrangements for the evening. The dress code for the evening is smart casual.

I am delighted that our special guest of honour for our Class of 2021 Presentation Evening will be Miriam Luke. Miriam is a triple Olympian rower and achieved her sporting ambition by winning a silver medal at the Sydney Games in 2000. Alongside Katherine Grainger, Gillian Lindsay and her sister, Guin Batten, they became the first British women’s crew to medal at an Olympic Games. In addition she won World Championship Bronze in 1991, Silver in 1997 and Gold Medals in 1998 both in sculling and rowing and competed in the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and the Atlanta Games in 1996. Miriam has worked at both the British Olympic Association and London 2012. She is currently working with GFB group as a consultant, leading their behavioural and cultural change work.

Miriam maintains her involvement in community activities, particularly in sports. She continues to row (although at a slightly less competitive level). Miriam is a Vice–President of Thames Rowing Club, President of Henley Rowing Club and was appointed Chairman of the Henley Women’s Regatta in 2012. Miriam Luke was elected a Steward of Henley Royal Regatta in December 2017.

After the presentations light refreshments will be available. It is always good on this occasion to see as many of our most recent past students as possible, and I do hope that you and your parents will be able to attend this celebration of your achievements. You will also be able to collect any coursework and practical work. Any student who needs their certificates (or their practical work) before this date should call the school office to arrange to collect them.
