What sports are covered in lessons?
Football, rugby, hockey, netball, fitness, gymnastics, badminton, athletics, rounders and cross country
Do you compete against other schools?
Yes we compete in the South Oxfordshire sports partnership in a wide range of sports from the traditional team games to individual sports like badminton and cross country, to triathlon and athletics. We also compete county wide in rugby, football. We have had teams represent the region too!!!
Does my child need all three PE tops?
No, they don’t but they should have the short sleeved T-shirt, the long sleeved reversible one and then the Hooded top would be useful as an extra layer.
Can they wear leggings or tracksuit bottoms?
Yes as long they are sports leggings and they must be plain navy or black. Tracksuit bottoms should be plain navy or black (no logos)
Do they need Football boots/Astro/trainers?
Specific astro trainers are not always needed. A good pair of sports trainers would be sufficient for their PE lessons. Football boots are useful for rugby and away football matches.
What clubs can my child attend?
All clubs are open for students and a timetable is released in early September.
Are Gum guards, shin pads needed?
For competitive fixtures both are needed depending on the sport but in lessons it is highly recommended that a gum guard is worn in contact rugby and shin pads should be worn for football and hockey.
