It is important that your work life balance is good. A health body can support a healthy mind to. Throughout your time at Langtree it is important for your studies and exams to revise, eat, sleep and exercise well.

Please download this weekly timetable. It will show you have over 65 free hours in the week outside of school, depending upon your bedtime and when you get up at the weekend. However, you of course need to eat, exercise, play sport, go to acting club and or visit family too. You need to sit down preferably with a parent and agree a timetable that balances your busy life with a healthy amount of revision for all your subjects. Please ensure your Maths and English take priority, these two GCSE’s alone will open many more doors for you than without them. Here is a partly filled out timetable from a year 10 student as an example.

You will see plenty of white space that is currently down time for this student. We all need down time, but it is getting the balance right for you, your family and your studies. If you feel you are not doing enough revision, you probably are not. Be honest with yourself and do as much as you can, but at the same do not over do it as this can cause more problems in different ways.

This weekly timetable should be used as a working document. Something that evolves with your life and your studies. The trick to it all is to be disciplined with yourself. If you put an hours revision on the timetable, you have to do it. As soon as you miss one, you will find it much easier to miss another.
